摘要: Globally, people self-manage their medication abortions without clinical assistance. Feminist activist collectives (accompaniment groups) support people through self-managed abortion with evidence-based guidance. We sought to understand the impact of COVID-19 and related restrictions on the need for and experiences of self-managed abortion with accompaniment support across varied legal and social contexts. Between May and October 2020, we conducted in-depth interviews with individuals who self-m关键词: Argentina;COVID-19 pandemic;Indonesia;Nigeria;Venezuela;accompaniment;feminism;medication abortion;self-managed abortion

摘要: Many studies propose methods for finding the best location for new stores and facilities, but few studies address the store closing problem. As a result of the recent COVID-19 pandemic, many companies have been facing financial issues. In this situation, one of the most common solutions to prevent loss is to downsize by closing one or more chain stores. Such decisions are usually made based on single-store performance; therefore, the under-performing stores are subject to closures. 摘要: Digital and Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and, consequently, remote working have increased since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, workers’ economic–financial perception of remote working conditions, such as digital technology and its implementation, has scarcely been researched. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the economic–financial impacts of remote working on labourers. Using a mixed-methods sequential exploratory design, a sample of 976 workers is inv关键词: Remote working;Economic–financial impacts;Digital transformation;Digital technology;Psychological drivers;COVID-19 pandemic

摘要: The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic reversed the ongoing upsurge in the global tourism industry. Yet compared with still-stagnant international tourism, domestic tourism has shown signs of recovery. This study takes Guangdong Province, China as a case for regional domestic tourism and adopts the tourism satellite account (TSA) method to assess domestic tourism's status. A pre- and post-pandemic comparison is conducted to map the impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak on domestic tourism's economic con关键词: Tourism satellite account;COVID-19 pandemic;Economic impact;Domestic tourism;Tourism statistics

摘要: Tourism growth in biodiversity conservation areas presents both challenges and opportunities for sustainability. The COVID-19 pandemic brought both into focus in the Galapagos. This study engages with tourism service providers and regulators in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island, to explore how ‘sustainability’ has been integrated into evolving links between tourism and conservation since the implementation of the Ecotourism Model a decade ago. 摘要: We explore the time-frequency spillovers among carbon, fossil energy and clean energy markets, and consider the casual effects of climate change attention. The spillover effects among carbon, fossil energy and clean energy markets are time-varying. Carbon market is a net receiver of spillovers from the oil market and clean energy markets in the short term, but it becomes a net transmitter of spillovers to the coal and gas markets in the long term. 摘要: During a pandemic, it is essential to secure a broad allocation of life-saving goods, such as medical and protective products, to save lives. However, these goods are often in short supply, due to consumer hoarding, insufficient manufacturing capacity and price gouging. Herein, we develop a game-theoretic supply chain model to evaluate the impact of government regulations on the shortage of life-saving goods and profit within the supply chain. Our model considers three types of regulation: (i) p关键词: Supply chain management;COVID-19 pandemic;Government regulation;Shortage mitigation;Panic buying

摘要: During the pandemic, households accumulated savings in their deposit accounts as a result of a reduction in their spending, which occurred due to the restrictions on their mobility. This led to a significant increase in bank deposits for banks located in counties with a larger reduction in spending. Banks, in turn, used these additional funds to issue more real estate loans. This implies that policies that might affect household spending would lead to changes in the volume of deposits in the ban关键词: G21;E51;COVID-19 pandemic;Bank deposits;Bank lending

摘要: This study investigates the impact of COVID-19 on the seasonality of gold returns by means of an asymmetric EGARCH model (Exponential GARCH). We find that the so-called ‘autumn effect’, or the traditional seasonal increase in gold returns in fall, vanishes and even shows a reverse pattern during the COVID-19 pandemic. We ascribe this phenomenon to the decaying demand for gold, which substantially decreased in the third quarter of 2020. In contrast, we find no evidence of seasonal effects in gold关键词: COVID-19 pandemic;gold;seasonality;‘autumn effect’;market sentiment;EGARCH models;C58;G01;G15;O16;Q02

Empirical evidence shows that wide-moat is positively priced by the stock market during the pandemic, which is not the case in the pre-pandemic period. Furthermore, wide-moat firms can generate positive cumulative abnormal returns after the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic. 摘要: We exploit the variation in the exposure to the Covid-19 pandemic of US states as a quasi-natural experiment to examine the impact of interest rate policy on credit union lending. We find that the interest rate cut can only enhance credit union lending in states that are less affected by the Covid-19 pandemic whilst hampering credit union lending in more affected states.
